Underwater lighting must fulfil IP protective class 68, ensuring full protection against continuous submersion, touch guard and very fine dust. The material of the light, and the light bulb, determine the light's service life. Stainless steel is one of the most robust materials available. V2A stainless steel is rust-resistant, and V4A stainless steel is even protected against chlorine, making it suitable for use in swimming pools.
